Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Diversity
Emma Griffone is a junior Theatre major and English Literature minor in the Music Theatre Certificate Program. She is so excited to be working on the Waa-Mu Show once again this year! In years past, Emma has been a part of Waa-2, the cast, the Creating the Musical class, and on Team Music. Other show credits at Northwestern include The Dolphin Show’s LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and RAGTIME. She cannot wait to work with her wonderful co-director, Amy, as one of the Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Diversity Co-Directors for Waa-Mu this year and hopes to encourage even more students to be a part of this incredible process!
Amy Prochaska is a sophomore Theatre major, a proud member of SHAPE and Thunk, and represents SHAPE, MARS, and College Feminists in the Student Senate. She is excited to be a co-AID director this year. Go Cats!
Alumni Relations
Gaby Godinez is a sophomore majoring in Radio, TV,and Film, and she is so excited to return to the Waa-Mu Executive Board! Last year, she was the Alumni Relations Assistant, and was also a apart of the writing team for MANHATTAN MIRACLE. Outside of Waa-Mu, Gaby is the Co-Development Coordinator for Arts Alliance, and is the Diversity & Inclusion Chair for The Blackout. This fall and winter, she will serve as the Assistant Director for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and for the 77th Annual Dolphin Show, Hello, Dolly! Gaby is also a proud member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
Mia Nevarez is a junior double majoring in Theatre and Legal Studies, with a Music Theatre Certificate. Mia is so excited to be a member of the executive board once again! Last year, she was Alumni Relations chair and performed in the ensemble of The 87th Annual Waa-Mu Show MANHATTAN MIRACLE. Outside of Waa-Mu, she is a member of the Northwestern Undertones and Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
Community Programming
Alexa Moster is a sophomore Theatre major in the MT Certificate hoping to minor in Gender & Sexuality Studies. She is a proud Co-Producer of THUNK A Cappella and a counselor for the Chicago Undergraduate Program (CUP). Last year she was a member of Waa-2. When not at Northwestern, she sings in the vocal ensemble Pitch Mafia, which brings together Chicago-based singers to perform diverse and original repertoire.
Jon Toussaint is a Junior studying Theatre, Musical Theatre, French, and Psychology. At Northwestern, he has performed in several plays and musicals, and recently made his directing debut with PCP’s PlayGround festival. In addition to performing in BEYOND BELIEF and MANHATTAN MIRACLE, Jon has spent the past two years with Waa-2, first as a member and then as a Co-Director. He is excited to help deepen Waa-Mu’s impact in the community as a Community Programing Co-Director. He is spending this Fall abroad, studying at the Sorbonne in Paris and eating his way through Europe. Jon is so grateful for the Waa-Mu community and strives to make it a welcoming, creative and joyful space for everyone!
Development
Mia Lennon is a junior double majoring in Theatre and Political Science. This is her third year on the Development Team for Waa-Mu and her second year as a Development Director, and she's so excited to continue promoting such an incredible NU theatrical tradition! Outside of Waa-Mu, Mia is a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, serves on the Executive Board of Spectrum Theatre Company, and is a Northwestern Tour Guide.
Digital Media
Eli Cohen is a junior studying Theatre, Musical Theatre, Playwrighting, and Computer Science. Recently, has worked on the directing team for COMPANY, MARIE IN TOMORROWLAND, The 87th Annual Waa-Mu Show: MANHATTAN MIRACLE, and SOMETHING IN THE GAME. He spent the summer working on LEGACY: A BOOK OF NAMES at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and traveling around Europe. Eli is excited to return to Waa-Mu for his third year, having worked on the writing teams for Beyond Belief and Manhattan Miracle, and cannot wait to see what this year’s incredible team puts together.
Events
Natalie Welch is so pumped to be organizing the greatest events in Waa-Mu history! Last year she Co-Directed Waa-2 and loved every minute of it. A Junior studying Theatre, Comparative Literature, and Musical Theatre, Natalie performed in both BEYOND BELIEF and MANHATTAN MIRACLE. She is looking forward to creating even more memories with the Waa-Mu family this year.
Graphic Design
Carter Liebman, originally from Orlando, Florida, is a second-year student pursuing a degree in theatre and neuroscience within the School of Communication. His past credits include JASPER IN DEADLAND as the Lighting Designer, VINEGAR TOM as the Assistant Stage Manager, and 1776 as the Stage Manager. His graphic design spans the Office of Undergraduate Admission as well as Student Affairs Marketing and he’s passionate about his upcoming work with Lovers & Madmen and the 77th Annual Dolphin Show. Stay tuned to see if he survives O-Chem this year!
Historian
Nolan Robinson is a Sophomore Theatre and Computer Science double major in the Music Theatre Certificate. Last year he worked on the 87th Waa-Mu show as a member of the Creating the Musical class, Team Music and of Waa-2. He his very excited to serve as the historian for the 88th Waa-Mu show and to discover how to preserve the stories of Waa-Mu's past, while helping in the creation of more opportunities for diverse and inclusive stories to be heard. His Northwestern credits include Ragtime and A Chorus Line. A writer as well, Nolan is always creating new pieces and is also producing a web series inspired by his life at Northwestern so far.
Marketing
Theo Janke-Furman is a Sophomore from Saint Paul, Minnesota double majoring in Theatre and Economics, and is a member of the Music Theatre Certificate Program. Last year, Theo was a performer in Waa-2 and an assistant on the Waa-Mu marketing team. He’s very excited to continue his work this year! Outside of Waa-Mu, Theo is a member of Arts Alliance and is producing Spectrum Theatre Company’s 2019 Collaboration and Creation Series.
Production Manager
Jessica Nekritz is a sophomore Theatre and Economics Major, with a minor in the Business Institutions Program. She is thrilled to be working on Waa-Mu Exec for the second year! Jessica is also producing for Lover’s and Madmen this year and serving on the Dolphin show as the bonding chair. Outside of theatre, Jessica is a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and a proud Colorado native. She can’t wait to begin work on this year’s incredible production!
Public Relations
Olivia Worley is a junior from New Orleans, LA pursuing a Theatre Major, a Business Institutions Minor, and a Musical Theatre Certificate. She couldn’t be more excited to return for her third year of Waa-Mu, where she has served as a digital media team member, a Waa-2 Co-Director, and a cast member of MANHATTAN MIRACLE and BEYOND BELIEF!
Sales and Promotions
Emmet Smith is a sophomore from New York studying theatre and Spanish with a certificate in Music Theatre. He is stoked for another year of Waa-Mu! Last year he worked on the Digital Media team as well as being a composer/lyricist and actor in Manhattan Miracle and member of Waa-2. Emmet is also a member of Freshman 15 A Cappella, Arts Alliance, and staff at the Wirtz Center box office. He can’t wait to promote and make accessible this organization that means so much to him!
Treasurer
Leo Jared Scheck is a junior studying Theatre and Economics. In addition to being the Treasurer of the Waa-Mu Show, he is the Director of Sales for the 77th Annual Dolphin Show and the Associated Student Government Senator representing the Student Theatre Coalition. Previously, he produced Arts Alliance’s Spring Mainstage, Dry Land, and was the artistic producer of the 2017 Freshman Musical, 13. Leo has been a member of the Waa-Mu writing team since 2016. When not working on theatre you can usually find him at the gym. Leo currently works on the Marketing and Communications team for Hamilton.
Waa-2 Co-Chairs
Peter Carroll is a Sophomore in the Musical Theater Certificate program. He participated in the 88th annual Waa Mu show last year, and was a part of the Waa-2 ensemble. He is stoked beyond words to be a co-director for Waa-2 this year with his other crazy talented and passionate classmates.
Danielle Kerr is so excited for her first year on Waa-Exec as one of the co-directors of Waa-2! She first got involved in the organization as a member of Waa-2 last year. Besides Waa Exec, she is a proud member of X-Factors A Cappella and Gamma Phi Beta.
Ruchir Khazanchi is a sophomore Musical Theatre and Integrated Marketing Communications student. He was involved with Waa-Mu as a member of the Manhattan Miracle ensemble, events executive team, and Team Music. He is thrilled to be a Waa-2 co-director this year! On campus, Ruchir is both an active music director and performer, and is grateful for all the opportunities provided by the Waa-Mu community.
Lydia Weir is a sophomore Theatre Major in the Music Theatre Certificate. After having been a part of Waa-2 and the Writing the Musical class last year, she is so thrilled to be able to welcome the next generation of Waa-Muers into the family. Last year she was a cast member in AMTP’s “Marie in Tomorrowland” and Project NU. If not in Wirtz, she can be found DJing for WNUR Rock Show or taking photos of squirrels trying to find their buried nuts in the snow (which she finds very sad). She cannot wait to see what Waa-Mu has in store for us all this year!
